— About —

Why this

exists.

A short, honest account of where MoodMap came from and what it’s trying to do.

— The starting point —

Most productivity advice was written

for one personality type.

It is the same advice, told differently: wake up at five, journal, cold-plunge, time-block, optimise, optimise, optimise. If you happen to be the kind of person that system was built for, it works. If you’re not, you spend years feeling broken — trying to make a system fit a self it was never going to fit.

The Builder thrives on this advice. The other three personality types don’t. Most of them eventually decide there is something wrong with them.

There isn’t.

— The insight —

You can't fix what doesn't

fit you.

The work of MoodMap is not to make you a different kind of person. It is to help you understand which kind of person you already are, and to design the small, careful systems that fit.

The premise: there are four broad archetypes — Dreamer, Builder, Restorer, Explorer. They describe four different relationships to time, energy, and emotion. None is better. None is broken. Each needs a different kind of life.

Once you know which one you are, the next step is small: read your archetype, see if it lands, and decide whether you want the kit built specifically for it.

— The system —

A quiz. A study.

A kit, if you want it.

The quiz is free. It takes five minutes. You will get an honest, careful description of the way you actually function — your strengths, where you stall, and what you actually need.

The free archetype page covers a lot. If you want to go deeper, the kit (R299) includes a full 22-page personality report, an annual planner built specifically for your archetype, and a workbook for when you get stuck.

There is no upsell after that. No course. No coaching program. Just the kit, used carefully, over years.

— Where —

Designed in

South Africa.

MoodMap was built in South Africa, for South Africa first, and for the rest of the world after that. The kits are priced in Rand (R299) and Dollars ($19) — modest, on purpose. The product is not for one tax bracket.
